Based on my experiences with previous editions, I emergency care 13th edition pdf download that i have preferred this one over the other, although many who I respect prefer the other commonly used text, Some, rightfully, will consider this review unfair.
It gets used, reviewed, lugged around from place to play, sometimes taken to work and back, and consulted from time to time when i need to review.
I am perfectly willing and prefer to spend the extra five or ten or whatever dollars for a hardcover text that stands up to abuse better. I hope that when the next edition comes out, they remember that some of us want or need a hardcover editio.
The rest of the book is questionable. The book is mediocre, at best. The main content is fine, emergency care 13th edition pdf download, but it is interspersed with clearly made up little vignettes called "Point of View. Stick to the main content and you'll be fine. The practice test at the back of the book, which is supposed to prepare the student for taking the NREMT cognitive exam, is horribly written. The questions are not well constructed and sometimes even contradict the textbook.
By the way, don't bother buying the workbook that is supposed to accompany this textbook. It is even worse and frequently contradicts both the textbook and current practice guidelines.
This book seriously needs to be reviewed and edited properly. All editors and content contributors need to look at this final product and be ashamed. Contradicting information between chapters or even from the text to the table next to itpoor content organization, questions on standard exams EMSTesting. Any program that is using this book should actually review the composition and compare it to testing question banks; then look for an alternative.
It's highway robbery for what they charge for this book with it's content and it's a soft cover no less. I received this item without the access codes, even though the book is new, was shrink wrapped when I received it, and I paid full price. Neither Amazon nor the publisher have a way to call a customer service assistant or to discuss the missing code. I finally found a telephione number, and stayed on hold for over 2 hours without speaking to anyone at which point my phone died.
I ordered the book well ahead of the summer course start date, and now, when I want to make a complaint, Amazon says it's "past the time when you can file a complaint. This book really could be great, but the accompanying practice questions and tests are terribly frustrating. My class decided to use the online MyBradyLab feature. It is really nicely designed, but whoever wrote and chose the answers for the questions didn't read their own book.
An astounding number of times the answers that they suggest are correct are in emergency care 13th edition pdf download contradiction or omit information and steps that should be considered in the scenario they pose for the questions. I often find errors in testing when I learn, but it really doesn't matter for most things. Arguing about the interpretation of American History test question is really just an intellectual argument.

This needs to be address quickly by the author. With that said n set aside, this book is very informative n great for any ems practitioner. Using this book vs printed is the best decision I made for this class. Easily highlight, bookmark and search. If you need to research something you can just search for it and bring everything up that mentions the term.
