June On several occasions I have opened Origin to find Titanfall is stuck on "resuming download", I am unable to cancel this, ps4 preparing to download. I have tried reinstalling origin and it did nothing, and because of this I cannot update any other games. My problem with a game stuck in 'Preparing Download' is that it is not creating the game folder in Program Files x86 so there is nothing to rename, it has been an hour and a half and it is stuck not creating a folder and not knowing what to call it other than Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
I did try to create a folder with that name to no avail. I had the ps4 preparing to download issue. On Windows 7 for Medal of Honor What worked for me is right-clicking and cancelling download. Then exit Origin. I then right-clicked on Origin and selected the run as administrator option.
It starting downloading within a minute. March - last edited March I have exactly the same as yours and nowhere does anyone mention how to solve it when there are no folders being created When I first tried to download Pacific Assault in Origin it seemed stuck so I 'X-ed' out and closed it out of the task bar too, then created that folder as mentioned, then ran it again in Origin and bingo it took. Never had a game ps4 preparing to download that seem hung on installing or preparing to install the second go round after the said folder was created when I clicked on Download it then opened another window and worked normally like all the other downloads I've done on Origin.
My issue now is when the game starts every time btw it'll ask what resolution you want to play in along with other tabs for sound and whatnot in my case there is no x so when I choose a 'close' resolution then play a while then quit to desktop it re-arranges all my desktop icons because they were in p and the game was in some other resolution This widget could not be displayed.
